Appraiser
Julie Bjorklund, a native of Minneapolis, earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education/Social Studies from the University of Minnesota in 1973. She went on to take additional classes in accounting and business finance from the University. Julie was a reserve teacher in Minneapolis Public Schools from 1976 to 1986, and an elected member of the St. Anthony-New Brighton school board from 1982-1990.
Julie has been a real estate appraiser since 1989. She recently earned the SRA designation with the Appraisal Institute. Julie is a director on the Board of Directors of the local North Star Chapter of the Appraisal Institute, and has served as By-laws chair, Recording Secretary, a Regional Alternate, and chair of the Habitat for Humanity committee.
Julie and her husband Brad have three sons and five grandchildren. They live outside Taylors Falls, Minnesota, on a thirty-acre property named “Tre Hus at Pond Hill”. It is a timber frame home they built themselves. Julie recently became a University of Minnesota Extension Master Gardener, and loves tending her many gardens. Her other hobbies include reading, enjoying tea, cooking and entertaining, and of course, her grandchildren! She dreams of winters in Hawaii, garden tours in England, safaris in Africa, and archaeological digs in Turkey.
